Coastal Path Walks.
- Cowes to Yarmouth. A walk along the North West section of the Island, from the floating bridge on the Cowes side of the River Medina, to the High street in Yarmouth.
A walk of 16 miles, with gentle gradients and some small inclines. Expect this walk to take about 7 hours.
- Yarmouth to Brighstone. A walk along the Western side of the Island, from Yarmouth Town Centre to the village center in Brighstone.
A walk of 14 miles with some steep gradients along the South Downs. Expect this walk to take about 5 hours.
- Brighstone to Niton. A walk along the South West of the Island, from Grange Chine, and leading just past the most Southerly point on the island and St Catherines Point Lighthouse.
A walk of 8 miles with easy gradients and only a couple of steep climbs. Expect this walk to take about 4 hours.
- Niton to Sandown. A South east walk from Barrack Shute in Niton, to Sandown's Pier and Esplanade.
A walk of about 9 miles with some steep climbs and descents and easy cliff top trails. Expect this walk to take about 4 hours.
- Sandown to Ryde. A walk along the Islands East coast, from the pier at Sandown to the start of Ryde pier.
A walk of about 12 miles consisting mainly of level trails, with a slight climb at Culver Down. Expect this walk to take about 4 hours.
- Ryde to Cowes. A walk from the entrance of ryde pier to the floating bridge which crosses to Cowes.
A walk of about 8 miles with easy slopes along the route. Expect this walk to take about 4 hours. |
